I kept the rest of my face clean and neutral. I have fuller lips so bright colors can make me look clown-like, but keeping the focus solely on the lips helps. Personally, I find red lips very elegant and beautiful but there are so many red lip haters out there (my mother being one of them lol) I don't wear bold lippies very often, but I've always loved lipsticks in bright fuschias, reds, corals, purples, and oranges. I admire those women out there who can rock a bright lip in public and feel comfortable doing it.

That looks gorgeous! I am so jealous right now! :p I can never pull off red lips, but I am wondering if going after reds that do not match my skin tone could be the issue?? Maybe I just need to find the right red :)

I really believe there is a red out there for everyone, but like you said, you just need to find the right one that suits your skin :) Sometimes I get self-conscious of wearing red lips because I have fuller lips but you just have to forget that you have it on and go about your day. lol

ReplyDeleteWHOA that is bright but HAWT <3 I love red lips too! It's so classy and makes me think of Dita Von Teese. But you are correct with the look. If you're going heavy on the lips, I think minimal eye makeup looks best. I tend to just like a winged eyeliner when I rock red lips. You my fairy lady, are rockin it well.
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried the NYX Jumbo Lip Pencils! I've sent one out in a love package but I think I need to pick this up on for myself. It reminds me of Mac's Ruby Woo kinda...
I hope the formula in the NYX Jumbo Lip Pencils are just as good as the NYX lipsticks.. Does it dry your lips out?

ReplyDeleteSuzy- they are just a dream to apply. Soft smooth and ridiculously creamy just like their lipsticks and jumbo eye pencils. I don't have any issues with it being drying but I always put a thin layer of lip balm under any lipstick to avoid that :)
